In short. MobilBid is silent auction and mobile bidding software made in Canada. It is a division of NDI (Net Directories Inc.), a Toronto-based technology company that has served academic and non-profit markets since 1995. Charities, schools and nonprofits use it to run silent auctions on their guests' phones, in person, online or both.
Why MobilBid exists
MobilBid was founded on the principle that game-changing technology should be within the reach of all fundraisers.
Before we built it, we asked non-profits and professional fundraisers what a silent auction needed. They named three problems: getting guests signed in, keeping bidders engaged, and the end of the night, when bids are tallied, invoices written and payments collected. MobilBid is built around those three. Guests join with a text message and bid on their own phones, outbid alerts bring them back to bid again, and when the auction closes the winners and invoices are worked out for you.

By the summer of 2023, more than 1,800 silent auctions had been run on MobilBid.
